Berne Union
This page explains the role of the Berne Union in export credits and investment insurance and how UK Export Finance supports its work as a member.
The Berne Union is a non-profit organisation dedicated to facilitating world-wide cross-border trade and investments by fostering international acceptance of sound principles in export credits and investment insurance and by providing a forum for professional exchanges among its members.
UK Export Finance was one of the founder members of the Berne Union and contributes to the discussions through a members’ discussion board and at twice yearly meetings of the Medium Long Term Committee.
UK Export Finance is also a member of the Investment Insurance Committee, but not the Short Term Committee.
The Berne Union also organises specialist export credit workshops.
